Description
This piece was composed in 2014 for Rebekah Heller. It is part of a set of works for various instruments, “A Compendium of Catskill Botanicals, book 2.” The music is avant-garde, and includes many quarter-tones and a single multiphonic (with a suggested fingering) at the end. The music is moderately challenging, if only for the numerous quarter-tones involved. The full range is employed up to Eb5, but the extreme upper register is limited to the beginning of the work.
