Description
This piece was composed in 1986 and revised in 1991. Masahito Tanaka premiered it on November 1, 1992. The piece is somewhat minimalist in musical ideas and gestures, employs extended techniques, and maintains an improvisatory atonal style throughout. Key clicks, tongue slaps, multiphonics, a multiphonic trill, and a quarter-tone are required, the latter just below C5. The music is moderately challenging. It is worth noting that the recording was made in 1987, before the first public performance, and prior to the revision.
