Description
Composed in 2018, this piece was commissioned by Midori Samson as part of a project to promote bassoon music by African composers. This character sketch was premiered by on June 5th of that year. Although the work is moderately easy, and ascends only to A4, it does require the performer to sing, and has one extended technique, pitch-bending.
