Description

This piece was composed as a birthday present for Robert Moevs, and first performed by Arthur Weisberg at Vassar College in 1982. The music is atonal, with an emphasis on the lyrical capabilities of the bassoon. That said, the final movement is very challenging, especially if one aspires to the prescribed tempo, with significant technical demands up to D5.
