Description
This is a solo adaptation, created for Klaus Thunemann, of one movement from the famous Tierkreis (Zodiac) cycle, completed in 1975. The full range is covered up to D5, but otherwise the atonal music is only moderately challenging. Instructions are clear, and the performer is given leeway to incorporate extended techniques, such as glissandi, flutter-tonguing, pitch-bending, multiphonics, and other sonic distortions. The cost to purchase this short piece is extraordinarily high.
