Description
Commissioned by Tama Kott, and premiered in 1999, the music is a dialogue between the two prominent personae of the bassoon; one whimsically humorous and the other more lyrically plaintive. The music is pitch-centric and moderately challenging, and ascends to D5, although the tessitura of the piece is primarily low.
