Description
This piece was composed in 1959 and dedicated to Jan Høye. The pitch content is atonal and strictly serialized, and the structure is a large palindrome, albeit one that is difficult to ascertain aurally. Sow and fast sections alternate, giving the impression of an improvised fantasia. While the music is only moderately challenging, with a range only to G#4, endurance is a factor to consider when preparing this piece.
