Description
According to the score, this piece was the winner of the “The Piece for Solo Bassoon" category of the Composers' Competition for the Moscow Conservatory’s1st International Wind & Percussion Competition. The music is atonal, and consists of woven textures of very short and abrupt gestures, long lyrical lines, and lazy tremolo-like figures. It is moderately challenging, and ascends to Eb5. Flutter-tonguing is the only extended technique employed.
