Description
This moderately challenging piece was composed in 2017 on a commission by movimento Pu Joa, and premiered by Franz-Jürgen Dörsam in Asunción, Paraguay in October of that year. The language is atonal, very motivic, and mostly disjunct. There are multiphonics and flutter-tonguing, the only extended techniques required, and numerous instances of E5. The bassoonists is occasionally called upon to turn away from the audience, producing a more distant sonic effect.
