Description
This is a very free rhapsodic piece inspired by traditions of the Lakota Sioux nation as reflected in a poem of the same name by Robert S. Hatten. The music is vaguely pitch-centric and requires two extended techniques; key clicks and air sounds. The full range is employed, up to Eb5. It was selected as a competition piece for the 2021 Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition.
