This work, originally for flute, is challenging but very playable on the bassoon. Editions exist in the original key as well as in D Minor and G- Minor.

Jesse Read’s version is in G-Minor. The piece is not as comfortable to play in this key.

William Waterhouse’s version in D Minor was a required piece for Markneukirchen 2006 International Bassoon Competition, 1st round.
