Description
The music consists of atonal “showers” of pitches to be played as quickly as possible, with sections of strictly notated material, including multiphonics, interspersed. These are more lyrical and provide a significant contrast to the rapid passages. The music is moderately challenging, even though the full range is used up to E5. The choice of multiphonics is left to the player as along as particular specified pitches are allowed to predominate. The score contains detailed performance instructions. No other extended techniques are required.
