Description
This atonal piece has an improvisatory flavor that reflects the composer’s modern jazz background. An agile technique over the full range to D5 is required, as are some extended techniques; flutter tonguing, multiphonics, and timbral distortion. This challenging piece was included in the annual Paris Conservatory Concours of 1992.
