Description
This is a unique pairing of the first suite for cello by Bach and Morimoto’s own Partita for bassoon. The piece alternates movements of the two works, with Morimoto’s atonal and primarily lyrical writing complementing a somewhat romantic interpretation of Bach. The piece is a challenging endurance test.
