Description
This piece was composed in 1981 for Andy Lustig. The three movements are pitch-centric, with a common motivic cell. The outer movements are predominantly lyrical, framing a scherzo-like movement that consists of rapidly articulated triplets. The music is imaginative, fully exploring the motive without becoming redundant. The full range is employed up to C#5, but overall the music is only moderately challenging.
