Description
This piece was composed in 2015 in Stockholm. The single movement has multiple sections, and the pitch-centric tonal language is similar to that in Levitt’s other bassoon pieces. That said, there is more emphasis on arpeggiated figuration and syncopation in this work, and the lyrical aspect, while present, is much less prominent. Still, the music is only moderately challenging. The range is also slightly less adventurous, topping out at Bb4.
