Description

The first two pieces were composed in 2001. Matthewmatics, dedicated to Mathew Wilkie, was extracted from the large orchestral work, COncErto?...ErtO?. Klaus-ur, dedicated to Klaus, was composed for the 51st International Competition of the ARD in 2002. The music is atonal, avant-garde and very challenging, requiring technical virtuosity up to F5 and extendied techniques, including multiphonics and multiphonic trills, glissandi, harmonics with the teeth on the reed, kiss tones, and tones produced through the bocal.
