Description
According to the score, this piece was “Written at the request of Geneva Southall for the students of the National association of Negro Musicians” In 2003. The music is tonal and appealingly lightweight, and ascends only to C5, but it is challenging because it requires considerable dexterity with traditional scale and arpeggio patterns. It was selected as a competition piece for the 2021 Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition. There is also a version for flute.
