Description
First published in 1989, this piece is included in a volume titled New Russian Music for Bassoon Solo, along with compositions by Artjomov, and Schut. Atonal and predominantly lyrical, this is a very challenging piece that makes extensive use of the extreme upper register, even ascending chromatically to G5. A fingering, which may or may not work, depending on the instrument, is provided for the single required extended technique, a multiphonic.
