Description
Written in 1971, during the composer’s graduate school years, and dedicated to Marvin Feinsmith, this piece is based on two four-note motives in a jazz idiom. The range extends to Db5 and the piece requires heel and toe tapping, as well as some improvisation, but no other extended techniques. Overall, this piece is only moderately challenging.
