Description

Composed in 1997 for Pascal Gallois, Sequenza XII, follows the pattern of non-traditional virtuosity exhibited in the other pieces in the series. It is a very challenging atonal polyphonic tour-de-force requiring extreme virtuosity over the entire range up to D5, and includes among its numerous extended techniques circular breathing for the entire duration of the piece, flutter tonguing, tongue slaps, timbre changes, timbral trills, harmonics, and glissandi.
