Description
The music was composed in Issy, France in December, 1971. It is based on tone rows, used rather freely. As with Arma's other bassoon pieces, the writing is technically only moderately difficult, and puts more emphasis on lyricism. The music's upward limit is Bb4. It was later adapted as an ensemble piece, also featuring the bassoon.
