Description
Composed in 1978 and dedicated to Walter Green, this is a set of atonal variations on a twelve tone row. The variations explore various (and sometimes tonally inflected) partitions of the ingeniously developed row, rather than employing traditional variation techniques on the lyrical theme. The piece is challenging, but worthwhile. The range extends to C5.
